Stamford STR Camp with Local NHL Player Max Pacioretty: Stamford Twin Rinks and local NHL player Max Pacioretty of the Montreal Canadiens will be running a two day camp on June 28th & 29th for the following age and skill groups:
- 9-10:30am – Mite/Squirt House Skills Camp
- 11-12:30pm – Mite Travel Camp
- 1-2:30pm – Squirt Travel Camp
- 3-4:30pm – PeeWee Bantam Travel Camp
Max and the STR Hockey Staff will run the on ice skills session and each player attending the camp will receive an autographed jersey by Max!!!
Beginner Hockey Clinic:
Max is a native of New Canaan and is a former standout Mid Fairfield and Connecticut Yankee player. He was drafted in the first round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. Mid Fairfield is offering a spring hockey clinic targeted at 2003 / 2004 age kids that are ready to move from Beginner Hockey to Mite C level. The clinics will run Saturday mornings at 7:50am from April 4th to June 13th at Darien Ice Rink. We will also welcome 2002 kids that participated in Mite C or Beginner hockey as a prep for Mite B. Stamford Twin Rinks Monday Night Girls Workout:
April 6 though June 8. Spearate session for ages U10 and 11+. This is a 9 week 90 minute skate (13.5 hours of ice time) developed by Marvin Minkler and the STR Hockey Department. Unmotivated players need not apply – passionate, motivated, hard working players will be accepted at the discretion of the instructors.
Oly Hicks Spring Skills Clinic:
Vipiteno Italy Head Coach Oly Hicks (previously at Manhattanville College) is again offering his skills and drills camp this spring. The camp for pee wee and bantam players runs Tuesday nights at Darien Ice Rink starting April 21 and runs throughout the spring. For more information email

New England Nighthawks Prep Development Program:
The New England Nighthawks and Todd Johnson are offering an elite clinic for a limited number of players with birth years 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996. The clinic will be held Monday evenings April 6 through the end of June at Darien Rink. Todd has arranged for top prep school coaches in the area to work with players to help get them to the next level of hockey. Coaches from Avon, Taft, Kent, South Kent, Choate, Berkshire, Hotchkiss, Gunnery, Pomfret, Westminster, Canterbury, Salisbury, Groton, Millbrook, Lawrenceville and other prep schools have found this an ideal setting to identify players for their respective schools. Moe Tarrant Cutting Edge:
At Cutting Edge Hockey Camps we offer programs designed for all levels of players. Each camp incorporates fundamental skills to help players develop both individually and as team players. We focus on stick handling and shooting, with an emphasis on explosive skating and edgework. Our camps are challenging at each specific level and our method of teaching incorporates our love for the game and our desire to pass that passion for this great sport on to your daughter. East Coast Hockey School
: East Coast Hockey Schools is entering its 9th season and is intended to improve the skills of girls at all levels. Ages 11-18 are welcome and the camp is run in the evenings at the Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford CT from August 10-14, 2009.
